Sign Up to Learn About MembershipEvery week, kids ages 5-10 build, cook, garden, and create with their hands, picking up the real-life skills, confidence, and independence they'll carry with them for life. No screens, no worksheets, just kids figuring things out.
We started Figure It Out Workshop after noticing how naturally our own kids gravitated toward screens whenever they had free time. They were so comfortable with a tablet, but when it came to fixing something, following a recipe, or planting a seed, they usually looked to us to take over. It made us wonder what would happen if we gave them more chances to figure things out for themselves.
We wanted something different for them, and we suspect a lot of other parents want the same thing. Kids who know how to use real tools, solve real problems, and finish something they started grow into adults who trust themselves. That's what we're building here: a place where kids walk away each week a little more capable, a little more confident, and a little less dependent on a screen to tell them what to do next.
Every session starts with a Mission, a real problem for kids to take on. We teach them what they need to know first, the tools, the technique, the why, then step back and let them do the hands-on work themselves. See a full session walkthrough →
Kids hear the week's Mission and everything they need to take it on.
Hands busy, minds working, kids tackle it themselves while an instructor supervises.
Kids show what they built or solved and talk through how they cracked it.
Real tools, real materials, and real problem solving. Not a screen in sight.
Every session ends with something a kid made or fixed themselves, the kind of win that builds confidence long after the workshop is over.
Kids work with their hands alongside classmates, with helpful instructors nearby to guide them when they need it.
Building, gardening, creativity, cooking, and fixing are just a few of the ways we teach it. It all comes back to one goal: kids who leave capable and confident in everyday life. See the full program →
