Every session starts with a Mission, a real problem or scenario for kids to take on. Our instructors walk them through what they need to know first, the tools, the technique, the why behind it, then step back. From there, it's the kids' hands doing the work and their own thinking finding the way through, not a parent, not an instructor solving it for them.
That's how kids build confidence that actually sticks: by doing the hard part themselves.
Each week focuses on a different category, so kids build a well-rounded set of real-life skills over a season.
Real tools, real materials. Kids measure, cut, and assemble projects of their own, building the hand-eye coordination and patience that only come from making something yourself.
Kids plant, water, and tend something real, and learn what it actually takes to keep a living thing growing, week after week.
Open-ended design and making, from sketching an idea to building it. Kids learn that a first idea is just a draft, and the real skill is figuring out how to make it real.
From simple no-heat prep for younger kids to real stovetop work for older ones, kids follow a recipe, measure ingredients, and plate something they made themselves.
Kids learn to look at something broken, figure out what's wrong with it, and fix it themselves. It's one of the best teachers of persistence we know.
Kids hear the week's Mission and everything they need to know to take it on: the tools, the technique, the why.
Now it's their turn. Hands busy, minds working, kids tackle the Mission themselves while an instructor supervises for safety.
Kids show what they built or solved and talk through how they cracked it.
